Research finds a concerning amount of Aussies reach for unhelpful mechanisms to cope with stress
New research has found a concerning number of Australians drink more alcohol when they’re stressed.
Health and community psychologist, Dr Marny Lishman, says people are definitely reaching for unhelpful coping mechanisms to cope with stress.
“Yes, sometimes it feels good in the moment, but unfortunately drinking too much actually makes you feel worse in the long-run,” she told Tom Elliott.
