Regional house prices tipping $2 million as people move away from the city
Say goodbye to Toorak and Albert Park.
Property prices in regional markets are soaring, with Melburnians settling down further and further away from the CBD.
Matt Bowles, Director of DCK Real Estate in Bendigo told Tom Elliott sales are on the up, as people look to either have a tree change, or who want to live in the country and commute to Melbourne.
“We’ve had a number of sales up around the $1.5-$2 million range in Bendigo for a while,” Matt said.
“We’re getting people probably of yours and my generation who perhaps grew up in regional Victoria, have been in and worked in Melbourne for some time now wanting that tree change.”
