Premier Jacinta Allan says she’s “really furious” protestors forced Myer to cancel the official opening of their famous Christmas windows.

Organisers were forced to shut down Sunday’s public unveiling of the windows after pro-Palestine protestors threatened to disrupt the community event.

Ms Allan told 3AW Mornings it was “unacceptable” that a joyful occasion was being ruined by people looking to create division.

“These protests are just unacceptable,” she said on 3AW.

“I’m really furious that we’ve seen a really small group politicise what is a really beautiful event.”

Tom Elliott was left incensed by the protest action which forced the cancellation.
