Rare $400,000 Ford Mustang stolen from car specialist in Melbourne’s south-east

Police are appealing for information following the theft of a rare and distinctive Ford Mustang from a car specialist in Ferntree Gully earlier this month.

The 2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT is valued at $400,000 and is the only one of its kind in Australia.

Just before 4pm on October 11, two men were seen loitering out the front of Mustang Motorsport, before driving off in the Mustang a short time later.

Police say vehicles were being moved in and out of the showroom at the time and the key was accessible.
