Quit Victoria won’t support push to legalise e-cigarettes

The director of Quit Victoria won’t support a push to legalise e-cigarettes.

Dr Michael Keane told Tom Elliott this week they were an effective tool in getting smokers off conventional cigarettes and away from the harmful impacts of smoke and tar.

But Quit Victoria director Dr Sarah White said that wasn’t proven.

‘The evidence just simply isn’t there,’ she said on 3AW Drive.
