Alan Joyce exits Qantas two months early

Qantas boss Alan Joyce is bringing forward his retirement by two months.

Incoming Chief Executive Vanessa Hudson will take over from tomorrow.

Mr Joyce says the last few weeks have “made it clear that the company needs to make renewal its priority”.

His announcement comes after a tough week for Wantas, with the ACCC launching a case against the airline on Thursday claiming it sold tickets for flights that had already been cancelled.
