Optus is sending customers letters informing them their information was exposed in the hack, but many letters don’t appear to be making it to the correct address.

Listener Judith received three letters — one addressed to her which said her details had been exposed, one addressed to her which said her details hadn’t been exposed, and one addressed to someone else.

Nikki, who isn’t an Optus customer, received a letter for someone who has never lived at her address.

Meanwhile, Debbie is an Optus customer but is yet to receive a letter addressed to her. She has, however, received a letter addressed to someone else.

3AW Mornings has contacted Optus for comment and has not yet received a response.
