Push for major Melbourne roads to become cyclist-only thoroughfares

There’s a push for a handful of major Melbourne roads to be turned into cyclist thoroughfares during the COVID-19 pandemic, with less cars on the roads.

Park Street (Carlton), St Kilda Road and Chapel Street are among those roads the Bicycle Network wants to see become bicycle-only roads.

“It’s a good opportunity to trial it now when things are quiet,” Craig Richards told Tom Elliott.
