Increasing the amount of federal MPs would be a colossal waste of money, according to 3AW Drive host Tom Elliott.

“I think it’s a giant waste of money,” Tom said.

The Australia Institute Democracy & Accountability Program Director Bill Browne said adding more MPs would have flow-on effects for the voters.

“More politicians means fewer voters need to change their mind in order to kick out a local MP,” he told Tom Elliott.
