Prince Harry ‘broken’ by Australian women’s magazine in 2008

Prince Harry admits he was ‘broken’ when an Australian women’s magazine revealed he was working with the British army in Afghanistan. 

The Royal was rushed back to the UK from the Middle East in 2008 after New Idea broke the story. 

The Prince has told Good Morning America it was a traumatic experience.

‘I’d done everything I could to get out there (and) literally been plucked out of my team,’ he revealed.

‘There was an element of me thinking I’m an officer, I’m leaving my soldiers and it’s not my own decision.

‘I was broken.’
