Prime Minister responds to reported rift with Treasurer

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has responded to his reported strained relationship with Treasurer Jim Chalmers over recent changes to Stage 3 tax cuts.

3AW Drive host Jacqui Felgate asked the Prime Minister directly whether he catches up with Mr Chalmers regularly.

“I have a cup of tea and coffee with the Treasurer all the time,” he told 3AW.

“I’ll be having dinner with him over the weekend.”
