Prime Minister announces another change to COVID-19 test rules
There’s been another change to isolation rules following yesterday’s national cabinet meeting.
The Prime Minister has announced in a media statement rapid antigen tests will no longer be required for people infected with COVID-19 on their sixth day in isolation.
People who are asymptomatic on day six of their isolation period do not need to get any kind of test.
Those who have symptoms on day six must get a PCR test.
The change, which state leaders have agreed to, was made following consultation with the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Health Officers.
