Pressure mounts on government to act on junk food advertising
Pressure is mounting on government to ban junk food advertising aimed at children to address Australia’s obesity epidemic.
Independent MP, Dr Sophie Scamps, will draft a private member’s bill in relation to the matter.
“It is certainly needed,” Associate Professor Gary Sacks, from the Global Obesity Centre at Deakin University, told 3AW Afternoons.
