Premier joins public criticism of Essendon’s CEO appointment

Neil Mitchell says Andrew Thorburn’s tenure as Essendon’s chief executive might be over as quick as it began.

“It’s not fair, it’s not reasonable, but I think it’s the reality,” the 3AW Mornings host said.

It comes after Daniel Andrews, an Essendon supporter, joined the public chorus of criticism of Thorburn’s appointment on Tuesday.

“I think he’s doomed,” Neil Mitchell said.
