Jacinta Allan concedes knife crime is a serious concern for the government, pledging to do more to help curb the issue.

The premier’s comments come after Jacqui Felgate uncovered two worrying home invasion incidents in Ocean Grove and Brighton East.

Ms Allan told 3AW Drive she should be judged on her actions to help fix the growing crime problem in the community.

“It does absolutely concern me,” she told Jacqui Felgate about knife crime in Victoria.

“Politicians should be judged on what they say and what they do – we understand this is an issue and a concern for the community, and we’re acting.”
