Port Adelaide defender to take indefinite break from footy

Matthew Broadbent is taking an indefinite break from footy.

Port Adelaide said on Thursday the 28-year-old defender was dealing with mental health issues.

The Power aren’t putting a timeframe on his return.

“The club’s primary focus is on Matthew’s health and welfare and we will continue to provide him with the ongoing support he requires,” the club said in a statement.
