Port Adelaide chairman says clubs have received special treatment with rule trials
Port Adelaide chairman David Koch has accused the AFL of giving Hawthorn and Brisbane “special treatment” by trialing potential rule changes with the clubs.
The Hawks and Lions have taken part in match simulation activities, conducted by the league.
Speaking on 3AW Football, Koch applauded the AFL for exploring ideas and getting clubs involved.
However, he said there needed to be more transparency.
“Alastair Clarkson, after all his coffees with the AFL big wigs, and Jeff Kennett are able to think about it for an extra four months,” Koch said.
“I think the tapes of those games should be given to every club because other coaches may have suggestions.
“What’s to hide from it?”
