Political alcohol spotted in Moonee Ponds
Drinks are getting political.
Cans of cider and ginger beer, emblazoned with messaging like ‘change the date’ and ‘nipples are nipples’, were spotted in a Moonee Ponds bottle shop.
The cans are produced by a company called Sparkke, who support socially conscious causes with their range of drinks.
Tom Elliott isn’t sure that people want to discuss heavy issues when they have a drink.
But co-founder Rose Kentish told Tom that’s when they want to encourage people to speak up about issues they are passionate about.
“There will be different opinions, for sure, but that’s actually the point,” Ms Kentish said.
