Police union boss Wayne Gatt says he’s frustrated with the “poor process” he says has been displayed by the state government ahead of planned industrial action.

Up to 18,000 officers will go on strike from early Sunday morning, as they push for greater pay and better working conditions.

Mr Gatt told 3AW Drive he remains disappointed government representatives haven’t made themselves available during the negotiation process.

“We are yet to have a person from government in the room,” he told Tom Elliott.
