Police seize $6 million drug haul after alleged Brunswick assault
Police believe an assault at Brunswick may be linked to a multi-million dollar drug operation allegedly being run out of a Lygon Street shop.
They say four men and a woman were seen fleeing after the assault of a man near Glenlyon Road around 3pm on Queen’s Birthday Monday.
Investigators then raided a shop on nearby Lygon Street, allegedly discovering drugs with a street value of $6 million dollars.
Four cars, $200,000 in cash and $100,000 worth of stolen goods were also uncovered.
Five men and a woman have been charged over the items seized but the investigation into the assault is ongoing.?
