Police ramp up search for dog walker who brutally assaulted a woman
Police are ramping up the search for a man who brutally assaulted a 51-year-old woman – seemingly at random – at Burwood earlier this month.
The victim suffered a fractured nose and serious facial injuries in the attack on the Gardiners Creek Trail shortly after 4pm on November 5.
Police have today released CCTV footage of a man walking a cocker spaniel they wish to speak to.
The man appears to be Southern European in appearance and about 188cm tall with short thick black hair and a muscular build.
He was wearing a blue t-shirt with light coloured pants and brown shoes.
Anyone with information or who may be able to help identify the man is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
