Police pursue group of youths in Melbourne’s north
Four teens and an 11-year-old boy have been arrested following a lengthy police pursuit north of Melbourne.
A patrolling unit observed a Black Ford allegedly driving at high speed in Thomastown about 2.55am.
The Police tried to intercept the vehicle when it has sped off causing police to pursue.
The vehicle ran out of petrol almost an hour later at Flowerdale and police finally caught up with the group almost 25 kilometres away at Yea.
The driver, a 15-year-old boy, was arrested along with the four passengers, a 13-year-old girl, a 14-year-old girl, a 15-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy.
They are currently in custody and assisting police with their enquiries.
