Police investigate drug syndicate link in death of Toan Truong at Sunshine West
Police are investigating a link between an organised drug syndicate and an unsolved murder in Melbourne’s west.?
Toan Truong was fatally shot in his Sunshine West home last year, in front of his pregnant wife and three-year-old child.
An intruder fired at the 43-year-old when he chased him the offender then fled in a getaway car.
Police believe the man broke into the Allison Street residence to steal cannabis.
detectives also believe people associated with offenders committing aggravated burglaries in Melbourne’s western suburbs, targeting properties with hydroponic cannabis crops are responsible for Truong’s murder.
Two vehicles of interest have now been identified and images have been released.
