Police hunting man who tried to snatch elderly woman’s handbag

Police has hunting a man who tried to steal an elderly woman’s handbag in Coburg last month.

The 89-year-old was allegedly attacked on Blair Street at 10am on April 18, with the victim fighting off the man.

The woman held onto her handbag during the assault, with the attacker only running off with a myki card.
