Police commander issues updates on recent spate of alarming crimes

Following a recent spate of crimes in Melbourne, police have issued updates on the progression of three current cases and a response to safety concerns.

Commander from the North-West Metro region, Mark Galliott, provided information about the Keilor Village shooting, the fatal incident on Bourke Street and the abduction of a man in Northcote last night.

“We will certainly review what’s occurred here and see against the treatments that are there, so bollards, natural features, whether there are improvements that can be made,” he told Neil Mitchell.
