Man pulled from car and arrested in dramatic fashion outside MCG

A man has been pulled from a car by police and arrested in dramatic fashion near the MCG on Tuesday.
Andrew told Tom Elliott he saw about 10 police cars heading up the wrong side of Wellington Parade near Jolimont station just before 4.30pm.
“The police all jumped out guns drawn,” he said.
“He rammed the police car, a divvy van pulled in front of him, he tried to get around and rammed it.”
Police have confirmed they were responding to reports of an erratic driver in the CBD.
The car was intercepted at the intersection of Wellington Parade and Powlett Street.
A 34-year-old St Albans man was arrested and taken into custody.
