Police are offering a $500,000 reward for information into a shooting which left a 72-year-old cyclist fighting for life in the state’s north-east.

Kelvin Tennant was shot a number of times while riding his bike on the Myrtleford-Everton Rail Trail on February 18, 2017.

He was found unconscious by two passing cyclists and taken to hospital in a critical condition. He survived, but has ongoing eye and hearing issues due to the shooting.

Police still don’t know why Kelvin was targeted.

The shooter is believed to have left in a dark-coloured sedan.
