Police arrest hooners from group linked to fatal January crash

Police have arrested the alleged ringleaders of the illegal hoon meet ups known as the south east and northern ‘Skids’.

Taskforce Regarder has made almost 40 arrests – seizing 26 cars since one of the meet-ups was linked to a fatal crash off the Western Ring Road in January sparking public outrage.

Acting Inspector Mick Daly told 3AW Breakfast a 23 year old man was arrested at Mornington while a 21 year old was arrested at Greensborough this morning.
