Varying insecticide sensitivity shown in fall armyworm
Research is highlighting variable levels of sensitivity to some insecticides between populations of fall armyworm in different parts of the country.
The invasive pest was first reported last year in the Torres Strait and has quickly spread across many jurisdictions, causing major damage to crops.
It’s hoped the latest findings will help guide insecticide choice.
Rural reporter Sophie Clarke caught up with GRDC biosecurity manager Jeevan Khurana to hear more about the study.
