Trial underway to transform stone fruit production

New research is underway to see what stone fruit orchards could look like in the future.

More than $13 million has been invested into the program aimed at improving efficiency in resources and labor.

The five year program will find out whether transitioning to narrower orchard systems benefits production.

Rural reporter Georgia Kondek caught up with Agriculture Victoria lead researcher Doctor Ian Goodwin to discuss the trials.
