Strewth! Aussie Scrabble has a bonzer new dictionary

A new Australian version of Scrabble with an updated list of approved words will be launched today.

Not only will Aussie slang be allowed, but also rewarded.

Mattel spokesperson Jacinta Whitehead told the 3AW Brekky (that word’s in there!) boys on there’s 250 approved slang words, as voted by Scrabble users.

Using any of those words earns the player a 10-point bonus, plus various other scoring tweaks.
