Sex assault survivor and anti-violence campaigner Nina Funnell says a “toxic” culture in Australian university colleges will come under scrutiny in the wake of on damning report into university harassment.
A Human Rights Commission report has found universities aren’t doing enough to help the 51 per cent of students who experience sexual harassment.
Neil Mitchell spoke with sexual assault survivor and anti-violence campaigner Nina Funnell about the report.
“I think the colleges are going to come under a particular amount of scrutiny and attention,” she said.
“We’ve known for quite a long time about a toxic culture … of sexism and misogyny (within colleges).”
