Seafood industry bounces back

Rural News

New research suggests the seafood industry is becoming more resilient, as demand for seafood products rise.

A study from the University of South Australia shows the nation’s growing Aqua-culture industry is more robust against sudden and dramatic loss in production, known as shock.

The research links the decline in shock to the roll out of improved management processes in the mid 2000s.

Rural Reporter Emily Minney spoke with Dr Zoe Doubleday about her research, which she says is a promising finding.
