President of the Bendigo Greyhound Racing Association tells Tom Elliott proposed greyhound ban is “ridiculous”

Tom Elliott has slammed the proposal to ban greyhound racing.

Tom said he “disagrees fundamentally” with Neil Mitchell, who said it should be done away with.

“If you ban greyhound racing, you might as well get a rifle and shoot every racing greyhound in this state,” Tom said.

President of the Bendigo Greyhound Racing Association Bob Douglas told Tom a ban would be “ridiculous”.

“Some people don’t like boxing, but we don’t ban boxing,” Mr Douglas said.

“Most trainers do it for the love of the dog and the love of the industry.”
