Neil Mitchell targeted by scammer

There’s a new scam doing the rounds.

And Neil Mitchell found himself the unlikely target.

This morning the 3AW Mornings host detailed an encounter with a man of Italian descent who stopped and engaged him in a conversation after he’d taken money from an ATM.

“It’s been reported in Europe, most recently in London. What happened to me is identical as to what’s been reported in London,” he said.

“I’ll take you through it as a warning.

“This was a face-to-face street scam, direct from Europe.”
