Farmers Speak Out at Inquiry
An inquiry into supermarket prices is hearing how farmers are being pressured to accept rebates from supermarkets.
Suppliers are describing lopsided contracts in which they have no choice but to discount their produce to receive payments on time, or to stay in business with supermarkets.
Rural reporter Ella Smith spoke to Farmers’ Federation Horticulture Council Spokesman Jolyon Burnett about what the inquiry has heard so far.
