Egg Farmers Reducing Carbon Footprint
Aussie egg farmers can now assess their on-farm carbon emissions thanks to a new calculator.
Its aimed to help producers understands their baseline carbon footprint and G-H-G emissions – which will then help reduce environmental impacts.
The egg industry already has the lowest carbon footprint of any animal based protein.
Rural Reporter Georgia Kondek spoke with Australian Eggs Managing Director Rowan McMonnies who says, this announcement is part of an important process.
