Darryl White impressed by PNG after International Cup win

Papua New Guinea has won the International Cup, beating New Zealand in a thrilling Grand Final.

The Mosquitoes won the decider by a point at the MCG in a curtain-raiser for Collingwood v Geelong.

Former Brisbane star Darryl White was part of the victorious PNG coaching team.

White told 3AW he’s surprised by the talent in the competition.

“Young (Willie) Aisi – he’s 16 and just phenomenal,” White said.

White said the competition should happen more frequently.
