Craft beer makers cry out for tax breaks similar to the wine industry’s
Craft beer brewers are crying out to be treated like winemakers.
Wine producers can deduct up to $500,000 from their taxable income every year, and the Craft Beer Industry Association is calling for similar relief.
“25 per cent of the cost of beer going out the door of breweries goes straight to the government,” executive officer Chris McNamara told Justin and Kate.
Mr McNamara said it’s about getting “a fair go”.
