Carlton cheer squad’s extremely heartfelt apology for cheeky tweet
VIA THE RUMOUR FILE
A member of the Carlton cheer squad has been censured for a social media “pot shot” at a rival club.
The tweet was a cheeky mock after Melbourne was knocked out of finals content.
“That’s Karma for the Hogan cheap shot on Rowe and Lewis cheap shot on Cripps,” it read.
“Suck s—. Love from all Carlton fans.”
The “cheap shots” are referring to hits that saw Lewis and Hogan suspended in a spiteful Round 2 clash that the Demons eventually won.
The tweet was later deleted, and replaced by a very sincere apology.
“We love banter … but we don’t condone pot shots,” the statement read.
But Ross and John reckon it’s all a bit of fun.
