Avocados getting smashed

Avocado farmers are struggling to turn a profit – as supply for the fruit out-strips domestic demand.

Growers who planted hundreds of new trees to satisfy the once-high demand have now been left in the lurch.

Rural reporter Rhiannon Solima-Marron spoke with Avocados Australia chief executive John Tyas [TY-es] to find out what consumers can do to help-out.
