Artificial intelligence revolutionises weed spraying
New weed-spraying technology could prove a game-changer for producers, cutting costs and protecting the environment.
The AutoWeed AI sprayer is fitted to a tractor, and uses artificial intelligence to detect weeds – before targeting them specifically, activating only as many spray nozzles as needed.
Rural reporter Madelaine McNeill caught up with James Cook University’s Associate Professor Mostafa Rahimi Azghadi to learn more about the technology.
