Peter Ford: The ‘most interesting’ part of Lisa Wilkinson’s exit from The Project

Lisa Wilkinson sensationally quit Network 10’s The Project last night.

The TV presenter told viewers the decision was fuelled by targeted “toxicity” which she said was taking a toll on her and her family.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford says it was “quite a bombshell” and the immediacy of the decision was surprising.

“That, to me, is the most interesting part of the story — you’ve got the end of the ratings year right there within spitting distance and she’s not even sticking around for that,” he told Ross and Russel.

Mr Ford took aim at Ms Wilkinson for making it “sound like she’s a martyr to the media industry”.
