Peter Dutton questioned on immigration policy and recent comments he made about Donald Trump

Jacqui Felgate has questioned federal opposition leader Peter Dutton about his immigration policy, as well as his recent comments he made about US President Donald Trump.
Dutton told Felgate there’s been an “unprecedented” number of people coming into Australia, which led to a back-and-forth discussion about Dutton’s decision to only stand in front of one flag if elected.
“It’s hard to imagine how we could be more divided in our country than what we are at the moment,” he said on 3AW Drive.

“We can’t have Australians missing out or finding it impossible to rent or buy a home, because we’re bringing people through in record numbers.”
Dutton recently labelled Trump as “shrewd” and a “big thinker” and spoke about the US President’s recent treatment of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the failed tariff exemption for Australia.
“I can’t believe that the Prime Minister couldn’t see what was coming and hadn’t been over to the United States since the President was inaugurated in January,” he said.
