Peter Dutton is ‘sure’ he’s lied in public life, but he says there’s a good reason why

Newly-elected opposition leader Peter Dutton is “sure” he’s lied in public life.

But he says there’s a very good reason why.

“I’m sure I have lied,” the opposition leader told Neil Mitchell.

“I can’t think of an instance but there would be circumstances where, for example in the national security space we don’t disclose certain operations.

“I think probably every Defence Minister or Home Affairs Minister has done that since federation.

“You might not lie, but you might not disclose the full circumstances of an operation.”
