Pete Ford’s latest on the Australian TV host currently ‘under attack’

Entertainment reporter Pete Ford says a TV presenter is the latest celebrity to come “under attack” after an live interview took an unexpected turn.

Sky News host Peter Stefanovic was interviewing Northern Territory teenager Keegan Payne after he caught a $1 million barramundi, making national headlines.

But during the interview, Mr Stefanovic unexpectedly asked the 19-year-old about an incident where he allegedly stole two vehicles, prompting severe backlash towards the host.

“They have the bayonets out for him at the moment,” he told Ross and Russ on 3AW Breakfast.

“It became a very uncomfortable interview and now (sections of the public) are after him.
