Opposition Leader John Pesutto says he won’t use taxpayer money to defend himself after expelled Liberal Moira Deeming issued him with a third legal threat.

Ms Deeming’s lawyers have served a third defamation concerns notice against Mr Pesutto, accusing him of “irreparable damage to her reputation” and subjecting her to intense vilification online.

Mr Pesutto moved to expel Ms Deeming in March after she attended a Let Women Speak rally on the steps of Parliament House which was stormed by neo-Nazis.

He told Neil Mitchell he’s unsure if he’ll be indemnified by the Liberal Party but he doesn’t think he’ll lose his house over it.

“Either way I can assure our listeners there won’t be any taxpayer dollars,” he said. “I’m perfectly relaxed.”

In a lengthy in-studio interview, John Pessuto also discussed his vision for tax reform, the Warradyte by-election and the “main difference” between him and Daniel Andrews.
