Pellegrini’s reopens, serving up Sisto Malaspina’s favourite coffee for free
Pellegrini’s Espresso Bar will reopen this morning, with staff to serve up Sisto Malaspina’s favourite coffee, the long black, for free.
It comes four days after Mr Malaspina was killed in the Bourke Street attack.
3AW reporter Pat Mitchell told Ross and John the doors are officially set to open at 8 o’clock.
“There’s already plenty of action here this morning,” Pat said.
“There’s no food on offer today, just coffee and I believe if you order a long black, it’s free of charge.”

Mr Malaspina’s family has now accepted a state funeral, to be held next week and Melbourne City Council is considering changing the name of the laneway next to Pellegrini’s to Sisto Lane, in his honour.
