A growing number of schools in Melbourne’s eastern and south-eastern suburbs have sent letters to their communities warning students to remain vigilant after the horror abduction of a 14-year-old in Glen Huntly on Monday.

Scotch College, Sacre Couer, Elwood College and Xavier College have all sent out warning letters in recent weeks.

President of the Victorian Association of State Secondary Principals, Colin Axup, says the spate of violent crimes targeting students has “certainly become concerning”.
