The nation’s premier pie man has disputed official data which suggests the pie is dying.

Bureau of Statistics analysis of GDP spending shows pie sales are down 40 per cent from the highs recorded during the COVID lockdowns.

But the CEO of Patties Foods Paul Hitchcock says business is booming.
